Latitude vs. Cloudiness

SUMMARY:Cloudiness vs. Latitude: There is no strong relationship between latitude and cloudiness. However, it is interesting to see that a strong band of cities sits at 0, 20, 40, ~75 and 100% cloudiness. These five breaks are similar to the cloud cover classification used in the aviaiton industry which categorizes cloud cover in terms of 1/8th of sky cover with sky clear (0-8ths), trace (1-2/8th), scattered (3-4/8ths), broken (5-7/8th) and overcast ( 8/8th).
